Last Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending my first CapFabb event at Dirty Martini in DC.

I wore the above outfit for the shindig and can't say enough how much I love Target's latest collab.
It's by far my favorite collection and I am so happy I snagged this skirt.

I had such a great time chatting & making some new friends, sipping on wine, and picking out some fun bracelets!

I had never heard of Capwell + Co before the event but besides loving the bracelets above, they have a great unique selection on their site.

Oh! Did I mention that everything is below $100?? Welp, it is.

I even got to meet the sweet Jessica from Bows & Sequins.
It was a great time and I can't wait for my next event

This past weekend it was beyond beautiful.

The sun was out and shining & it was filled with some of my best friends.

It has made me so excited for Spring and warm weather.

Good thing March starts this weekend, but too bad that doesn't automatically mean warm weather.
Until the warm weather is here to stay, my bare legs will be back in hiding.

This is my first time sporting a beanie out in public, and I may be addicted.

After always seeing one of my good friends sporting a beanie and always looking super chic

(yes you, Jillian) I needed to try it out myself.

I love the cool vibe it gives to an outfit especially this one.

I think I will be able to tolerate winter a little longer if it means I can still sport my beanie.

I have had this top for a few years now and it has rarely been worn.
I fell in love with on the rack, but I have yet to find the perfect place in my wardrobe.
It's an awesome sequin top that isn't too much or too way out of my budget, but I have never really found the "right time" to wear it.
I finally decided to break it out while wearing my favorite printed pants.

I love how this outfit is straddling the borderline between casual and dressy which is really how I feel my personal style would be described.

I thought posting these pictures I snapped after my sunday-funday Arlington brunch I had with friends last weekend, would be quite appropriate since Snowstorm Pax has dumped quite a bit of snow on the DMV (10" & it's still coming down!)

We planned on snapping pictures after brunch & just had to improvise with the snow.
I think the few bottles of champagne we went through helped me capture my outfit sans jacket.

I think fun patterned tights under a knotted maxi are such a fun and simple way to spruce up an outfit (& keep warm!)

I have been on an unplanned shopping freeze since Black Friday.

It has been both a blessing and a curse

(my closet is cursing me but my wallet is blessing me)

Having not purchased any new clothing items for the last few months has really been hard!
It has really made me think in terms of putting outfits together.

I hate being repetitive with what I wear and I have really been challenged to think outside the box using what I already have in my closet.

I believe the above outfit is one of the magic outfits that I magically stumbled upon one day.

I challenge you to take a little retail therapy break and rediscover your closet.

Last weekend there was some pretty tolerable weather happening, so

I took complete advantage and threw on these black tuxedo joggers that I have been keeping in my closet for awhile.
I wish this nice(er) weather would last so I could sport this outfit out more...

I am totally blaming my lack of outfit posts on mother nature's desire to pretend Virginia is Antarctica.
It has been around the 30's (on a good day!) for almost a solid month now and it has made me a lazy blogger.
I mean I really have no desire to stand in the wind and the cold to take pictures.
It is too cold!
I did brave the elements last Saturday, however, to snap these shots above.
The high was 35 and after a few girlfriends and I went through a few champagne bottles at brunch, I was ready to take on the cold while smiling.
