It is crazy summer has come to an end. While it is against "the rules" to wear white after Labor Day, as long as the humid days keep coming I know I will be wearing this dress a few more times before the cooler weather sets in.

My Labor Day plans include a barbecue/pool party with a few friends and a possible day trip to Lynchburg to visit my sister.

On Saturday, my friend and I went to a winery in The Plains.

The weather was really dreary (lots of rain), but it was a fun time tasting the new wines, playing with the dogs running around, and hanging out with my sister who was visiting.

Because of the extreme humidity, I refused to take pictures of my out of control hair.

I tried to snap some photos before the sun went down but they don't do the outfit justice.

I wear pencil skirts quite often to work, and when I scored this one at LOFT for $10 I knew it would be a perfect more casual skirt since it is a little too tight for work.

It was a great and comfortable look for a rainy (& a little chilly!) winery day.

I've had this vest in my closet for about a year and this is the first time I have actually worn it.
The shape, folds, and fit flatter so perfectly.
I plan on putting it into full rotation this fall, which is right around the corner.

It was restaurant week this past week in the DC area.

My boyfriend and I, along with a few friends, ventured into the city and caught a discounted lunch and then headed to Georgetown for some drinks.
I snagged this Lou&Grey dress from Loft and it was perfect for the mild summer weather along with the restaurant hopping.

A great swing dress that doesn't make you look like a tent is hard to find and this dress is that perfect shape.

I am not normally Forever21 fan.

The stores are typically overcrowded with preteens and cheap clothing, which typically equals an overwhelming shopping experience.

I did wander into the store last week to help a friend find an inexpensive dress and found 2 items that I was really excited about, this bangle & this fedora.

Since becoming obsessed with hats a few seasons back I knew I had to snag this one with such a great shape & a steal of a price.

Maybe I should have warned you guys that you would be seeing this crop top a lot.

It really is the default top for any of my skirts.

It is really so easy to pair it with anything and head out the door.

I am sure I have a few more outfits this summer with this crop top...
