My new skirt I scored at the new Nordstrom Rack in Columbia,MD for $15 this past weekend while out shopping with my boyfriend.  I love the party-in-the-front-business-in-the-back you get from the longer hem on the backside plus the faux leather trim.  Ever since I first tried this style of skirt here, I've found I can be less paranoid that my skirt will ride up and something may pop out.  It is quite a liberating feeling.

Since I saw this style of pant a few months ago, I just knew it was for me.  Comfy and loose like pj's (but not the silky ones), on trend with the fun prints, and tapered at the ankles.  I had been searching online for my perfect pair for months but the styles that had mostly caught my eye were well over my $50 budget I was allowing myself for sure a trendy item.  Then I found this pair from Nordstrom.  It fit all my credentials and I am beyond pleased with my purchase and will be rocking these pants well into the fall.  

Because pants like this are pretty loud I styled it very simply with just my basic v-neck J.Crew tee and fave denim vest.

So this past weekend was one of my favorite events, the Apple Blossom Festival.  

The first May of every month (also the main weekend is always during the Kentucky Derby) It's a yearly week long festival filled with pink, green, parades, funnel cake, and (lots) adult beverages.  With almost all of downtown Winchester closed to car traffic, every year I throw on my comfiest sandals, my pink & green outfit, and head out to enjoy the festivities    

   This year I didn't put in my month long search for the perfect outfits so I threw this on totally last minute but ended up liking the outcome.  While I only was able to attend Friday, I still had tons of fun hanging out with some of my best friends and my wonderful boyfriend.

Today also marks my 1 year blogging anniversary!  Here's to another great year :)
